Description
The Dakota Lithium Terminal Fuse Block Kit provides inline short-circuit protection by mounting directly to your battery terminal. Rated at 58V and 60A, it covers every Dakota Lithium system from 12V to 48V. The fuse element is replaceable, so a single blown fuse costs pennies — not a fried wiring harness. This is the most overlooked safety component in DIY battery installations, and one of the most important.
Key Features
- ✓ Direct battery terminal mount — installs in seconds with no additional wiring or brackets needed.
- ✓ 58V / 60A rated — covers 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V systems with a single fuse block.
- ✓ Replaceable fuse element — swap a blown fuse in under a minute instead of replacing the entire block.
- ✓ Protects wiring, not just the battery — your BMS protects the cells, but the fuse protects everything downstream.

FAQ
Why do I need a fuse block if my battery has a built-in BMS?
The BMS protects the battery cells from overcharge, over-discharge, and over-temperature. The fuse block protects the wiring between the battery and your loads. A short circuit in your wiring can melt cables and start fires before the BMS reacts — the fuse blows instantly and breaks the circuit.
How do I know if 60A is the right fuse rating for my system?
60A covers most trolling motors, small inverters, and accessory loads. If your system draws more than 60A continuous (large inverters, high-thrust trolling motors), you need a higher-rated fuse block. Match the fuse to your wire gauge and expected maximum draw — the fuse should blow before the wire overheats.
