Can this really start an engine AND be a deep cycle battery?

Yes. The DL+ line's 1,000 CCA rating handles engine cranking while the 320Ah deep cycle capacity powers house loads. The BMS manages both functions. This eliminates the need for separate starter and house battery banks—one battery does both jobs.

How does it handle Canadian winters?

Even-Heat technology is specifically designed for this. When charging below 0°C (32°F), the internal heater warms cells to safe charging temperature before accepting current. Discharging works down to -4°F (-20°C). This is one of the few lithium batteries rated for year-round Canadian use without external heating pads.

What charger do I need for 320Ah?

Any 14.4V LiFePO4 charger works. For reasonable charge times, use 50A+ capacity: the Dakota Lithium 50A charger fills it in ~6.5 hours. The 20A charger works but takes ~16 hours. For solar, pair with 400W+ panels and a MPPT controller rated for your system voltage.

Is it waterproof enough for a boat?
