Applications

  • Marine battery disconnect — required by ABYC standards in many jurisdictions
  • RV house bank isolation for maintenance or storage
  • Emergency power cutoff for safety
  • Seasonal storage disconnect to prevent parasitic drain
  • Dual battery systems — isolate house bank independently from starter
Features & Benefits
  • 275A continuous rating handles high-current systems including trolling motors, inverters, and multi-battery banks.
  • Purely mechanical operation — no electronics to fail, no firmware to update, no parasitic draw when off.
  • Surface or panel mount flexibility fits battery compartments, engine bays, and electrical panels.
  • Voltage & chemistry agnostic — works with LiFePO4, AGM, lead-acid, and any DC voltage system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a battery isolator switch with LiFePO4 batteries?

Yes. While LiFePO4 batteries have built-in BMS protection, a mechanical disconnect provides an additional layer of safety. It allows you to physically cut power for maintenance, wiring changes, or emergency situations — something the BMS alone cannot do. Many marine and RV codes require a manual disconnect regardless of battery chemistry.

What size wiring do I need for a 275A switch?

For the full 275A rating, use 4/0 AWG cable or larger. Most installations draw well under 275A — size your cable to the actual system draw and fuse rating rather than the switch maximum. Always install an appropriate fuse between the battery and switch.

Can I use this as a dual battery switch?

This is a simple on/off switch — one circuit, one position. For dual battery switching (1/2/Both/Off), you need a dedicated dual battery selector switch. Use this switch when you need a straightforward disconnect for a single battery bank.
