Even-Heat is Dakota Lithium's internal heating system that activates automatically when the battery detects charging below 0°C (32°F). It warms the cells to 5°C before allowing charge current to flow, preventing lithium plating damage that ruins unheated batteries in cold weather. You can fish or camp through winter without worrying about charge damage.

Can I use my existing lead-acid charger?

No. Standard lead-acid chargers output 14.8-15.5V with equalization stages that damage LiFePO4 cells. Use a LiFePO4-specific charger set to 14.4V. The Dakota Lithium 10A and 20A chargers are purpose-built for these batteries.

How does this compare to lead-acid?
