The Dakota Lithium DL+ 12V 320Ah Heated Dual Purpose LiFePO4 Battery packs 3,840Wh of storage plus 1,000 CCA engine starting into a single Group 31 unit. With IP65 water resistance, Even-Heat cold-weather charging, and 200A continuous discharge, it replaces an entire lead-acid battery bank with one 65 lb battery that lasts 5,000+ cycles.
Note: Dakota Lithium upgraded this battery from 280Ah to 320Ah. You’re getting 14% more capacity than originally advertised at the same price point.

Dakota Lithium upgraded this battery’s capacity from 280Ah to 320Ah in their latest production run. The URL and some references still show the old capacity, but the actual product shipping is 320Ah / 3,840Wh. You’re getting 14% more capacity at the same price.
Yes. The DL+ line’s 1,000 CCA rating handles engine cranking while the 320Ah deep cycle capacity powers house loads. The BMS manages both functions. This eliminates the need for separate starter and house battery banks—one battery does both jobs.
Even-Heat technology is specifically designed for this. When charging below 0°C (32°F), the internal heater warms cells to safe charging temperature before accepting current. Discharging works down to -4°F (-20°C). This is one of the few lithium batteries rated for year-round Canadian use without external heating pads.
Any 14.4V LiFePO4 charger works. For reasonable charge times, use 50A+ capacity: the Dakota Lithium 50A charger fills it in ~6.5 hours. The 20A charger works but takes ~16 hours. For solar, pair with 400W+ panels and a MPPT controller rated for your system voltage.
IP65 means it’s dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction—but it’s not submersible. It’s designed for below-deck, engine bay, or exposed cockpit installation. Don’t submerge it, but rain, spray, and washdown are fine.
11-year manufacturer warranty—the longest in the LiFePO4 industry. Covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Certified UL1642, IEC62133, UN 38.3. Manufactured in ISO 9001:2015 facilities. Ships as Class 9 Dangerous Goods with proper lithium battery documentation.
