How many batteries do I need for off-grid living?

For 5 kWh of daily use, four 12V 100Ah batteries will do the job. Always plan with buffer for cloudy days.

Why are LiFePO4 batteries better than lead-acid for off-grid?

Higher efficiency, zero maintenance, much greater usable capacity, and a longer lifespan. Lithium is more cost-effective and far more reliable.

Can I use these batteries with solar panels and an inverter?

Yes. As long as your MPPT controller supports LiFePO4 mode. The included Victron SmartSolar MPPT and MultiPlus are pre-matched.

How much maintenance do they need?

Almost none. No topping off, no equalizing. Just keep the terminals clean and tight.
